Hi, I’m Saloni Sawnani—a clinical psychologist, trauma specialist, and the person behind Make The Most Of Life.
As the name suggests, I believe in showing up for life fully—through every high and every low. This mindset took root early. With a father in a transferable job and a mother who turned each move into an adventure, I changed nine schools over 12 years. That nomadic childhood gave me adaptability, curiosity, and deep empathy—qualities that now define my work.
Like many teenagers, I followed a “safe” path with a B.Com degree and even considered an MBA. But somewhere along the way, I realized my true calling wasn’t in business—it was in people. I took a gap year, studied psychology, and completed my Master’s in Clinical Psychology in 2000. I haven’t looked back since.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve worn many hats—therapist, parent, entrepreneur, NGO consultant, and mental health educator. My career began at Masina Hospital and later I worked with a well-known psychiatrist in private practice until 2012. I’ve always embraced change, following my heart while keeping my head in check. When my son was born and there wasn’t a good preschool nearby, my husband encouraged me to start one—so I opened a EuroKids franchise with a daycare and cherished those three years. Once he started school, I returned to clinical work. Years later, after my daughter was born, I wanted more independence and ventured into the corporate world with a project at United Health Care. It didn’t take long to realize that skipping an MBA was the right call—I’m simply not built for corporate life!
I’ve worked with incredible organizations like Kranti, Rubaroo, Arpan, and Sharanam, supporting children, adolescents, and women through complex life experiences. My longest and most heartfelt association has been with Happy Feet Home, where I’ve spent a decade supporting young people needing palliative care.
Alongside this, my private practice continues to thrive. My approach is eclectic, trauma-informed, and deeply client-centered. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, burnout, or trauma—I hold space with compassion and clarity.
Children and young adults remain my core area of work, but I’ve worked with clients across all life stages. I believe therapy isn’t just about “fixing” something—it’s about growing through life with more awareness, strength, and self-kindness.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
We all mess up. That’s how we grow.
Growth never stops. And no one heals alone.
If you’re ready to make the most of your life, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
